Print ArticleA fortnight ago the annual Olympus Photoday Competition took place as part of the Auckland festival of photography. Alix Coleman took up the challenge which was to try and best capture her day on Saturday 12th June. Photographs had to be taken between the hours of 12 pm Friday to 12 pm Saturday and up to three images could be submitted. All three of Alix ’s photos got through to the Top 30 selection. This is a splendid achievement. Alix is indeed a fine role model for her students. The top 30 images get made into postage stamps for the winning applicants. The top award and the other photography winners (including a past student Julia Zhu) will be on the website for viewing soon. www.photographyfestival.org.nz .
