This week two groups of Year 12 students attended career planning events. The tertiary institutions in Auckland work collaboratively to provide workshops for Maori and Pasifika students.
Kei a tatou te ihi [We are the power] is designed for Maori students and asks them to consider leadership roles and options at university. Similarly The P.I.L.O.T programme [Pasific Island Leaders of Tomorrow] reinforces the messages the school and families are giving about aiming high.
Our students represent the school very well. They step up on these programmes, speaking confidently and looking fantastic in the formal uniform.
