Congratulations to the Selwyn College Stage Band, on being awarded a Bronze Medal at the KBB Music Festival last Wednesday night. Under the directorship of Hamish Arthur they performed four charts: Deacon Jacks Gospel Shack; Caravan; Superstition; and Stolen Moments. The band played with enthusiasm and musicianship and were congratulated on their soloists; the use of contrast between the sections and for creating a great vibe with the chart Superstition. At the Gala Concert and awards ceremony on Sunday night, Clark Yparraguirre represented the school and collected a Bronze award for our fantastic efforts.
