for Selwyn in our Inaugural Entry in Enviro-Challenge
|
On Tuesday this week, four of
our talented students, accompanied by staff member Brianne Kellner,
participated in the Enviro-Challenge. The challenge was to improve and
raise awareness of what can be done in school to improve the
environment, by producing a carbon footprint and choosing a topic for a
video and poster. Overall, Selwyn came 4th in
Auckland! This was an amazing result. We were beaten only by three
Decile 10 schools, which had all participated before, whereas it was our
first time and we were a bit unsure about what to expect. This is a
great start for the Environment Council, and next year they aim to take
away the title!
