Students from Years 11 to 13 had another amazing opportunity on Thursday morning to meet and hear about a huge range of pathways beyond secondary school. Students were able to ask questions of representatives from 50 different professions, tertiary institutions and other training providers who visited the school for our annual spectacular Careers Expo.
The atmosphere was buzzing as students gathered ideas and hand-outs, tackling the challenge of thinking about their future pathways. A few examples of areas that were popular include Civil Engineering and surveying, 3D Computer animation, Music industry training and occupations, Sports and Tourism, Occupational Therapy, the New Zealand Fire Service, Engineering and Pop Culture.
Thank you to all of our Student Pathways staff for their organisation of this extremely valuable experience; and in particular, our Careers Advisor, Jeremy James.
The students are very lucky indeed to have access to such an event. Hopefully, our students are inspired to think more carefully about the importance of nurturing their passions, achieving a strong foun-dation of skills and actively exploring their options for their future.
