Selwyn College is thrilled to learn that Eli and Holly have both been selected to represent New Zealand in the  NZL Sailing Foundation Youth Worlds Team after winning their Trials at the Oceanbridge Regatta in February. Eli will helm for the Male 29er team and Holly will crew for the Female team.  New Zealand only has two representative sailing teams - the Olympic team and NZL Sailing Foundation Youth Worlds Team - so it is a great privilege for these students to be part of the team which includes the P2P (Pathway to Podium program).

Recently Eli has won the won the 12 foot skiff National Championship and was 2nd in the 29er Nationals on countback.

Holly was the first female team in the 29er Nationals.  Both Eli and Holly will sail at Kiel Week in Germany, followed by the Youth World Champs in Gydnia Poland, Eli will then sail in the 29er Open World Champs in Poland.   We wish them all the very best.

We wish both these talented students all the very best and will follow their races with a great deal of interest!
