Huge congratulations to our Selwyn Girls Black Team who yesterday became champions! They won the Division 2 competition through back to back promotions to make their way to play in Division 1 next season - the peak of the competition. Their spectacular win of 9-6 yesterday was against Whangaparaoa College and it culminated a superb season.

This is an amazing story as just three years ago, they were teaching themselves to play Lacrosse through watching You tube clips. The Selwyn Sports Staff were impressed with their enthusiasm and came to their rescue providing coaching from Auckland Lacrosse. The rest is history.

The team’s other major achievement is that through their superb playing, they have been invited to compete in the National Tournament coming up shortly.
