Netball at Selwyn continues to build and get stronger and stronger. We welcome students of all ages and abilities into our netball program and in the 2018 season we entered 10 teams into the Auckland Netball Secondary School League as well as sending our Premier Team to the UNISS Tournament (Upper North Island Secondary Schools).   We have a dedicated Netball Convenor to help ensure both the smooth running of the sport at school and at the courts on game day. That helps provide a cohesive experience for our Netball girls.

The Netball season runs in Term 2 and 3 (May - September) and we run a pre-season Summer Netball Academy in Term 1 for students wanting to improve their skills year round. This provides opportunities for all years to be coached in fundamental netball skills before the season starts when tactics and team plays become a key focus.

Fees are $100 for the 2019 netball season (May-September) including being provided with fantastic playing uniforms. And with heavily subsidised costs for all other optional programmes, including the summer academy.

4 week programme - 1 session per week involving 30 minutes fitness and conditioning followed by 45-60 minutes of fundamental netball skill development.  Runs Wednesdays after school 3.30pm - 5pm

We also will be running our very successful Umpire development courses for those of you who would like to learn how to umpire and earn a bit of pocket money during the year. This course involves both a theory and a practical session run by the experienced umpire trainers at Auckland Netball. Costs for both sessions is approx $30 total. There are options to be a paid umpire for both year 5-6 games on a Thursday night and year 7-8 on a Tuesday night as well as some games on a Sat morning as well as gaining umpire experience in an fun and supportive environment,

Team trainings will be 1-2 sessions per week

13 games on Saturday morning at Auckland Netball Centre.

The Senior Black team attends UNISS (Upper North Island Secondary Schools tournament) this year being held at North Harbour Netball courts  during winter tournament week (2-6 September)
