Selwyn College is a coeducational secondary school situated in Auckland’s Eastern suburbs.   The campus at large serves the needs of a diverse range of ages from pre-schoolers and teenagers, through to adults in the refugee and community education programmes.

Our mission is to develop individual excellence and creativity in a vibrant, respectful and purposeful learning community.

We place central importance on offering high standards of achievement in academic learning, sport and the performing arts.   We embrace the development of the full range of competencies, including intellectual, social and emotional competencies, in order to prepare students for future knowledge-based societies.

We celebrate the worth of each person and seek to develop each individual’s talents.

We want our students to experience the joys of discovery and success in a rich and culturally diverse environment, so that they leave prepared for a lifetime of learning and personal fulfillment.

Our students benefit from a staff that are dedicated to continuous professional learning and inspired to deliver high standards of professional practice.  They also benefit from excellent pastoral care, numerous outstanding facilities and strong partnerships between the school, families and the community. Resources are continually in development to support learning programmes and ensure the delivery of the best possible student outcomes.

Hence, each student leaves school having:

·          -Gained the knowledge, skills and qualifications needed to take their next step;

In this way, Selwyn College will be the school of choice for the local community.
