Selwyn has a long history of providing student mediation services. Up to ten students are recruited from Years 11, 12 and 13 and are trained at school at the beginning of each year to assist other students in resolving conflict. Mediations can be arranged directly through the mediators or through the counsellors. They can be conducted during class time or during breaks. Counsellors are always aware of the mediations taking place and are available for consultation if dilemmas arise.
