The new uniform must be worn by all Year 9 – 11 students who are new to Selwyn College in 2009. From the start of 2010, it is compulsory for all students in Years 9 - 11 to wear the official new uniform.

Current students in Years 10 & 11 may choose to wear the new uniform. In this case, they must purchase and wear the complete new uniform. Students cannot mix the new with the old.

Uniform items can be purchased from the Uniform Centre

This uniform must be worn by all Year 9 – 11 students. Photos of the correct uniform items are available.
In 2011, Year 12 students will also wear this unform. It may be purchased at The School Uniform Centre, 553 Remuera Rd. Opening hours are 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 1pm Saturday.

P.E. Uniform
Students in Years 9, 10 & 11 must wear the Selwyn College P.E. uniform for all P.E. classes. This must be purchased from the Student Office.

Grooming Requirements for Students Wearing the New Uniform

• Shoes must be clean, free of writing with the back of the shoe worn up.
• Hair ribbons/slides must be in the colours of the uniform. Extreme hair designs are unacceptable.
• Male students must be clean shaven.
• Make-up and jewellery should be minimal and discreet.
• Trousers/shorts are to be worn so that the waistband sits at the waist.
