Welcome to Classical Studies

In Classical Studies Years 12 and 13 students explore important facets of the Greek and Roman Worlds which are not only fascinating in themselves but also relevant to many significant themes in modern life. Specifically the fields of literature, politics, social history, warfare, art and architecture, philosophy and religion are explored.

Classical Studies offers students the opportunity to develop advanced interpretive and analytical skills in reading, writing and discussion.

We assess Achievement Standards according to the NZQA framework. See NZQA for more details.
