The biggest reward a member of the Selwyn College Science Club gets is the honour of being a part of reputable, well known student organisation and the satisfaction the intellectual pursuit of knowledge in a caring, stimulating and friendly environment gives. However, corporeal rewards are the predominantly accepted method of acknowledging accomplishment and, as such, the Science Club has a number of ways of tangibly recognising the loyalty of its members.
At the end of the year, members of the Selwyn College Science Club
receive individual certificates and the Club member deemed to be the
most devoted is presented with The Selwyn College Science Club Club.
If
the circumstance arises that two Science Club members are deemed to be
equal place as the most devoted member of the Selwyn College Science
Club, they play a short round of Mini-Golf with The Selwyn College
Science Club Club, the winner receiving the club itself and the member
who comes in second place receiving The Selwyn College Science Club
Runner Up Club.
If the circumstance arises that three or more Science
Club members are deemed to be in equal place as the most devoted member
of the Selwyn College Science Club, a number of skill-based challenges
will be set to determine which two will compete in the Mini-Golf play
off.
