Year 11 is the first year of NCEA. At Selwyn College we offer two mathematics courses
  • 11MAA - an Achievement Standards course which has a three hour external exam in November
  • 11MAB - an Achievement Standards course which has all assessments internally assessed.

There are both internal and external components to the 11 MAA (AS) course as outlined in the Student Assessment Statement.
The NCEA external examination will be held at 9:30am on Monday 14 November covering Achievement Standards 91028, 91031 and 91038.

The Mathematics Department hopes that you have a successful and enjoyable year. If you have any difficulties or concerns at any stage, please feel free to raise them with your teacher or with the teacherin charge of Year 11 Mathematics, Graeme Bell.
